Dr. Jason Elvin, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Jason Elvin is a graduate of Temple University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. In 2011, Dr. Elvin was accepted into the Orthopedic Residency Program at Temple University. The Orthopedic Residency Program is credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is a post-professional program designed to enable the resident to gain clinical expertise in orthopedic manual physical therapy.
In 2013, Dr. Elvin completed his orthopedic residency and received board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). His professional memberships include the American Physical Therapy Association, the Orthopedic Section of the APTA, and the American Association of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (AAOMPT).
In addition to his advanced training, Dr. Elvin has developed a passion for research and the role evidence-based practice has in the physical therapy profession. In 2012, Dr. Elvin conducted research on the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy, which he presented at the International Federation of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (IFOMPT) conference in Quebec City, Ontario, Canada.
In 2013, Dr. Elvin developed the Acute Spine Program. Dr. Elvin uses high-quality research to educate local health care providers and the public about the clinical benefits and cost effectiveness of early physical therapy in the management of acute low back and neck pain. Dr. Elvin delivers care to these patients using his evidence-based, advanced training and monitors the progression of these patients through functional outcome tracking. In collaboration with Temple University, Dr. Elvin presented the successful outcomes of this program at the 2014 AAOMPT national conference in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Elvin has been employed by Kinetic Physical Therapy in Chester Springs, PA since 2009. Dr. Elvin serves as Clinic Director, Director of Clinical Quality, and Center Coordinator of Clinical Education. In addition, Dr. Elvin developed the Kinetic Physical Therapy Mentorship Program. He serves as a clinical mentor to new graduate Kinetic Physical Therapy employees as they begin their professional careers.
In addition to his role as Kinetic Seminars Program Director, Dr. Elvin is the course instructor for the Evaluation and Treatment of Cervical Spine Disorders and Evidence-Based Manual Therapy of the Lumbar Spine and Lower Quarter.
Dr. Elvin resides in Phoenixville, PA with his wife, Melissa.
